When you become Unwanted you die...everyone knows that. So when Alex is dubbed Unwanted, he expects the same fate. Alex is brought to Artime where creative talent is shaped into magic. Alex and the Unwanteds must use their training to protect themselves.
In the Unwanteds by Lisa Mcmann, thirteen year olds get purged, Necessary, or Wanted. Unfortunately, Alex Stowe is unwanted, while his brother is wanted. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes magic. It reminds me of Harry Potter and the Hunger Games.

Insted he goes to a magical hidden place called Artime. The story is about Alex and his friends in warrior training. Will Artime stay hidden, or willthey be discovered. Read the book to find out!

The book the Unwanteds by Lisa Mc. Mann is about the people of Quill that are not wanted that are not wanted and sent to die. Or at least thats what the people of Quill think. The unwanteds are really sent to Artime , a land of magic and creativity. There they learn how to do magic.While Alex Stowe is sent to Artime his twin Aarron is wanted in Quill, and when he and the Quillians find out about Artime... Read about Aron the wanted and the unwanted Alex and how they turn against each other. Alex will team up wit the other unwanteds and try to destroy Quill. WILL ALEX SUCCEED??????????

The Unwanteds is a great book written by Lisa McMann. In the book the town of Quill has a purge every year to get rid of kids who have shone any sign of creativity, such as singing or simply drawing with a stick in dirt. They are taken to the death farm where they are supposed to be killed, but a man, Mr. Today, secretly takes them to a magical world, where they are trained to fight Quill. If you like adventure and magic, this is the book for you.

The story begins with the purge, an annual holiday on the island of Quill where all thirteen year olds’ lives are decided. Will they be Wanted, and go to the Wanted Academy, a special school for academically advanced, non-creative children. Might some be Necessary, the ones who work on the farms, clean up the garbage, and are more or less enslaved by the Wanteds. Or could some be Unwanted, condemned to painful “Death Farm” for showing some amount of creativity? You’ll have to read this action packed, magic filled book, full of living statues and fire breathing origami dragons. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves magic, adventure, and suspense.
